On the trail, Himalayan Society offers you modern American and Swiss equipment - tents, camp shelters, toilet tents, sleeping mattresses, duffel bags, rain gear, life-jackets, helmets and other trail essentials. (Please note that we do not provide cold weather clothing, sleeping bags or technical mountaineering equipment - these items can be obtained in Kathmandu if required). Our treks are outfitted with roomy and well constructed tents. Of course, all porters, porter equipment, permits, staff insurance and food are included. You, your guides and your porters will be the best outfitted in the mountains.

We are active particpants in a program to encourage trail clean-up whereby our staff is paid for each piece of litter returned from a trek. This means that we bring back more than our share of trail litter on every trek.
