Tibetan Cultural Experience |
The
holy city, Lhasa, is the home of many of Tibet’s
most sacred and holy relics. Experience Tibet’s
incredible cultural heritage, a city full of priceless
statues, frescoes and ancient shrines on this
discovery trip to the roof of the world. |
This memorable
trip begins with an awe-inspiring flight over the Himalaya
from Kathmandu to Gongkar Airport. Upon arrival in Lhasa,
the Himalaya’s famous Holy City, the rest of the
day will be free for acclimatising to the 3,650 m elevation.
The next three days will be spent exploring Potala Palace;
former residence of the Dalai Lama; Jokhang -Tibet’s
holiest temple; Norbulingkha -the Dalai Lama’s
summer Palace; and the great monasteries of Sera and
Drepung. We will visit the bustling market of Barkhor
with time for shopping and taking in the sights, smells
and mystique of this remarkable place. This trip features
the highlights of Tibet’s holy city, s
howcasing its
unique, ancient cultural and religious heritage.

Day 01: Fly Kathmandu to Lhasa (3600m),

Day 02-04: Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang
Temple and Bharkor, Sera, Drepung Monastery and Norbulingkha,

Day 05: Fly back to Kathmandu, transfer
