| Our
unique itinerary takes you into the high valleys of
the Khumbu region, land of the Sherpas, providing magnificent
views of the awesome Khumbu peaks as you acclimatize
for the trekking ahead. We have the opportunity to conquer
Imjatse Peak on this high mountain trek.
Our adventure begins with a short flight to Lukla and
two days of easy walking to Namche Bazaar, the busy
trading town of the Sherpas. You will continue on through
colourful Sherpa villages, taking time to explore this
magnificent valley. Our camp at Gorakshep (5160m) provides
time to walk up to Kalapattar (5545m) for classic views
of Everest’s southwest face, Lhotse, Nuptse and
the Khumbu icefall. From here we proceed to Dingboche
valley and the Imjatse Peak base camp for our summit
of the mountain. Whilst Imjaste Peak is well within
the capabilities of any fit and determined trekker,
it can be demanding and requires some basic climbing
experience.
The trek descends along the Khumbu Classic route via
Tengboche and Namche, to Lukla. We fly back to Kathmandu
the following day.
