Welcome
to the Land of the Himalaya |
Welcome
to Himalayan Society's’ Adventure & Leisure
Trips and Experience the true adventure of a lifetime...

Please
join us as we take take you for a first hand look at
the Himalaya.
Himalayan Society
was created to cater to people from all ‘walks of
life’ without being ‘too’ adventurous and steering
clear off trips that are too difficult to tackle.
Although our trips
are more relaxed and flexible,
they still lead you to some of the remote, unspoiled
locations with the same professiperators of the
Himalayan regions of Pakistan, India, Tibet and
Nepal with the same philosophy and commitment to
offer the beauty and attraction of the Himalaya.
Not only the sights of the mountains themselves, but
also the surroundings of friendly people,
picturesque villages and variety of culture and
tradition which exemplify many of the attributes
that have been forgotten or lost due to headlong
rush for progress and developments.
We intend to exchange ideas and skills in various
fields other than ‘tourism’ as the whole territory
is bounded by similar environment
and economic order within a broad common geographic
location that encompasses a region of deep cultural
and religious traditions and a huge diversity
of people. At the same time, environmental concern
has been taken into consideration with the effects
of conservation measures on the rural population and
the economic effects of tourism.
Trekkers and Mountaineers as well as tourist must
ensure they minimize the impact on the environment
with more biodegradable products and encourage the
local lodges and trekking outfits to use kerosene
for heating and cooking rather than wood fire which
has taken a heavy toll on deforestation.
Together we hope to bring some of the underprivileged
people of Himalayan region little closer with the
social and economic ties and try to look beyond its
political boundaries, religion and ethnic order
simply to join hands to restore the human dignity
and faith which are the basic essence for survival
and the continuity of our future generation. We hope
some of you will join hands or contribute in your
own special ways to create a ‘society’ within these
rugged mountainous terrain and let the people of the
region
earn an earnest livelihood as they have done so for
many generation with a free will and a fair roaming
sprite . . . Though Himalayan Society was incorporated
fairly recently in 2000, it is managed and run by a
dedicated and well-experienced team of office and
field staff whose profound individual experiences in
the trade go well back over two decades.
We offer well-designed and researched programs for
all types of visitors and hikers, at the same time
protecting and preserving the precarious culture and
environment
