A Few Items to Note About
Us |

Holiday
with Difference |
Small Group Size - We believe that the best experience
is travelling in small groups. In this way, you can
have an intimate first-hand experience, meet the local
people and not be disappointed by the inflexibility
and sterility of a larger group. All Himalayan Society
holidays operate at a maximum of 16 people.
Emphasis on Culture - Himalayan
Society appreciates that your Himalayan experience should
be more than a trek in the mountains. All our trips
provide opportunity for cultural experiences and interaction.
We select our departure dates to coincide with festivals
and local celebrations. Overall, we provide more cultural
content in our program that any other operator.
Everything is Included - No Hidden Extras - When you
go on a
Himalayan
Society holiday trip you won't find any extra charges
for transfers, park fees, or those, "Oh, I forgot to
mention, but...' lines. Your trip dossier will outline
in great detail the amny extras
we include at no additional cost. Our trips have more
inclusions than any other tour company - and you are
taken care of from the moment you step off the airplane
to your day of departure.
Associations - We are members of the Trekking Agents
Association of Nepal, the Nepal Mountaineering Association,
and the Nepal Association of Rafting Agents. We are
registered with His Majesty's Government's Ministry
of Industry. You'll be Impressed by Our Meals - Himalayan
Society provides all your meals and snacks for treks,
rafting, safaris while you're on the trail, and breakfast
at your hotels. Our cooks are culinary
experts and we
provide Western, Nepali and Indian cuisine. If you have
special requirements, just let us know and our cooks
will take care of you. All meals are prepared under
strict hygienic conditions with the best produce available.
Arrival and Departure - When you get off the plane start
your holiday, one of our friendly hospitality crew will
be waiting to greet you. They will pick you up at the
airport in one of our vehicles and get get you settled
in for your first night. You will be given a comprehensive
briefing and arrival package over a delicious meal as
you admire the splendour of the Himalaya. We always
include a tour of Kathmandu (or Delhi, if applicable)
to get you oriented and introduce you to the customs
of the Himalaya. When it's time to depart, we reconfirm
your flight, organize your check-in, take you to the
airport and we include domestic airport taxes in the
price. If you have any last minute souvenir shopping
or things to be done, our hospitality staff are at hand
to assist you.
Single Supplement - There is no single supplement charged
on Himalayan Society holidays unless you specifically
request your own room or tent. Our participants come
from all walks of life and all age groups. Whether travelling
single or with friends, customers enjoy the opportunity
to meet new and interesting people from around the world.
